NSF CISE advances human-centered computing, computing education research and the design of technologies to:

- Expand access to information, education and work.
- Strengthen the trustworthiness and usability of computing systems, AI-enabled technologies and human-technology interfaces.
This work includes areas such as human-AI teaming, human-computer/robot interaction, immersive technologies, and computing and quantum information science education and workforce development.
